PURPOSE:To obtain the title suspension free from decomposition of the carotene, without the need for high temperature, by dissolving an oil and carotene in hexane or acetone followed by removal of the solvent. CONSTITUTION:(A) Carotene is dissolved in (B) pref. 100-200wt. times the component A, of hexane or acetone or a mixture thereof, and furthermore, (C) pref. 1-20wt. times the component A, of an oil (e.g., soybean oil, cuttlefish oil) is incorporated in the system and dissolved at e.g., <=60 deg.C followed by removing the solvent by e.g., the thin-film evaporation process, thus obtaining the objective suspension. |
