Knife for a cutting mechanism of an agricultural machine

The knife has a body 2 and tip 1 and upper (4) and lower (5) parallel faces. Blades 6, 7 of the knife have cutting edges 8, 9 of curvilinear profile between chamfers 10 and 11, 12 and 13, the blades 6, 7 being of a varying thickness lengthwise, the thickness gradually increasing from h at the tip 1 to h1 at the body 2 so as to reduce deformation of branches being cut.
