PURPOSE:To lower coefft. of friction and starting torque while maintaining high durability by using a specific fatty acid ester compd. as a lubricating agent. CONSTITUTION:This recording medium contains the fatty acid ester compd. expressed by the formula I. In the formula I, R1, R2 and R3 denote a satd. alkyl group having a straight chain or branch, where R1, R2 denote 1-25C, R1+R2 denotes 18-20, R3 denotes 7-27C. The amt. of said lubricating agent to be used is preferably confined to 5-25wt.%, more preferably 7-15wt.% by the weight of magnetic powder. The recording medium is thereby provided with the high durability equiv. to the durability of the magnetic recording medium formed by using the conventional lubricating agent and the coefft. of friction and starting torque thereof are lowered. |
