<p>PURPOSE:To improve the software development efficiency by enabling an application program produced at the host computer side or an operating system to design a display screen regardless of the capacity of a display memory set at the terminal equipment side. CONSTITUTION:A host computer 1 is connected to a terminal equipment 2 via a transmission line l. The equipment 2 contains a display memory 21, a display data editing memory 22 and a display device 23. The capacity of the memory 22 can be optionally set by an instruction of the computer 1 with no dependence on the capacity of the memory 21. Thus an operating system and an application program are produced at the side of the computer 1 regardless of the physical capacity of a memory of the device 23 of the equipment 2. As a result, the software development efficiency is improved.</p> |
