PURPOSE:To bring metallic luster different between respective areas into full play according to each degree of reflection and absorption of light by making thickness of the surface differ between plural numbers of areas, in a transparent resin layer being formed in the surface of a metallic substrate with a glossy surface. CONSTITUTION:A molding material 1, available for an automobile or the like, has a decorative effect with metallic luster and a protective effect for a body side or the like in combination. This molding material 1 is constituted of a metallic substrate 2 with a glossy surface and a transparent resin layer 3 being formed on a surface of this metallic substrate 2. In this case, the transparent resin layer 3 makes thickness of the surface differ between two areas. In brief, plural numbers of projections 31-34 and recesses 36 different in height each are formed on the surface of the transparent resin layer 3 respectively, thereby making the thickness differ with one another. With this constitution, different metallic luster is brought into full play according to each degree of reflection and absorption of light, and thus a decorative effect is improved. |
