PURPOSE:To make it possible to easily and surely lay burrs sidelong in a pipe by passing a sphere having a diameter slightly smaller than the bore diameter of the pipe through the latter. CONSTITUTION:A rigid sphere 4 having a small diameter which is slightly smaller than the inner diameter of a pipe 1 is towed at its one side by a wire 5 along a line passing through a position near to the outer surface of the sphere 4. Simultaneously, the rigid sphere 4 is advanced in the towing direction of the wire 5 in the pipe 1 while a small tension force is effected in a direction reverse to the towing direction along the line. Accordingly, the advancing rigid sphere impinges upon burrs 3 projected in the pipe 1, which are therefore hit and laid sidelong. Further, even though there is a steep curve in the pipe 1, the sphere 4 may pass through the curve by the towing action of the wire 5 connected to the sphere 4 without being caught by the curve. |
