PURPOSE:To increase the sensitivity of color development and stability of a color-developed image by forming a recording layer consisting of phenol compound as shown by a specific formula blended with an electron-accepting compound and an electron-donating leuco dye on a support. CONSTITUTION:An electron-donating leuco dye and an electron-accepting compound shown by a formula I (R1 is H, a C1-8 alkyl group, a cycloalkyl group, an aryl group, an aralkyl group and an alkenyl group; R2 is a C1-10 alkyl group, a cycloalkyl group, an aryl group, an aralkyl group, and an alkenyl group; Y is a halogen atom, a nitryl group and a C1-4 alkyl group; and lis an integer of 0-2.) are atomized in the size of about several mum in a dispersant to prepare a coating liquid. This coating liquid is applied on a support such as paper or plastic film, and then is dried to form a recording layer. Thus a recording material is obtained. |
