PURPOSE:To obtain a quiet shuttle printer of a small type which can perform high speed printing, by a method wherein reversal of a hammer bank and a counter weight is energized by restoring force of a spring when the hammer bank and the counter weight are reversed. CONSTITUTION:When cams 41, 42 are rotated centering a rotary shaft 44, shift arms 21, 31 are moved in an opposite direction to each other by operating cam followers 22, 23 while being slid. When the shift arm 21 is moved right side, a spring 52 is compressed, and restoring force is accumulated. Then when a hammer bank 20 is reversed leftward, the spring 52 energizes reversal of the shift arm 21, i.e., of the hammer bank 20. When the shift arm 21 is moved left, a spring 51 is compressed, and energizes reversal of the hammer bank 20 in the same way. Spring 53, 54 of the shift arm 31 on a counter weight 30 side operate also in the same way. Consequently, load change becomes small, and impact in reversal of the cams 41, 42 and the cam followers 22, 23 becomes small. Vibration of a body is also restrained, and a cam driving motor can be also miniaturized. |
