The subject of the invention is a fuel supply device located in a fuel tank. The pump unit 3 of the device puts to good use the pressure ratios existing in a chamber 10 which lies between an accumulator vessel 1 and the pump unit 3 and which is defined by diaphragms 12, 13, so as to create suspension forces compensating for the weight of the pump unit 3. In this way, elastic elements 7, 8 of an elastic suspension for the pump arranged in the accumulator vessel 1 remain practically exempt from the static prestress and may provide optimum soundproofing.
