Power plant utilising chimney draught - has wind driven generator with stator which is combined with chimney flue and draught which rises upwards to drive rotor

The power plant system has at least one driven generator with a rotor and stator structure, the latter being combined with at least one chimney flue (5). The flue extends from a lower input aperture (7) to an upper outlet aperture (9), affected the the flue draught. This arrangement provides a rising air flow in the flue which drives the rotor (10) of the generator. Pref. the chimney flue extends along a ground rise, having a vertically extended upper end section. The rotor may be mounted in front of the inlet aperture. If several chimney flues are used the vaned rotor with transverse axis may be arranged in front of their aligned inlet apertures. A deflector baffle may be associated with the rotor, guiding the air stream to the active rotor movement path. In the region of the lower inlet aperture may be provided an air heater.
