PURPOSE:To process at a high speed a program including a complicated process, by storing the contents of a register group to another register group with an indication of a transfer control register and then transferring said contents selectively to the 1st register group. CONSTITUTION:A processor 1 is connected to a main storage device 9 to be used together with the device 9. Such processor 1 is provided with an arithmetic part 2, the 1st and 2nd register groups 3 and 4, a transfer control register 5, a transfer part 6, an address register 7 and a control part 8. When a register shunt instruction emerges in a process to execute successively the instructions contained in a program, the shunt designating information that is designated by an instruction word of the register shunt instruction is set to the register 5. Then the contents of an external stack pointer register (not shown in the diagram) are transferred to the register 7, and the contents of the register group 3 are transferred to the register group 4. |
