SOLDERING METHOD TO PIEZOELECTRIC CERAMICS

PURPOSE:To enable weight of solder and degree of extension of the solder to be controlled reliably, by heating and melting the solder after applying silicone-type oil on the surface of an electrode except its part where a lead is to be soldered. CONSTITUTION:In order to solder a power supplying lead 5 to an electrode 2 formed on a piezoelectric ceramics 1, silicone-type oil is applied on the surface of the electrode 2 except its part where the lead is to be soldered and then solder 7 is heated to be molten. The concept of the term 'silicone-type oil' used herein includes grease with high viscosity. Since the solder 7 is heated and molten in this manner, the solder is prevented from being scattered or extending over the soldered part of the electrode 2. Thus, it is possible to minimize scattering in weight or area of the solder 7 adhered on the electrode.
