摘要 PURPOSE:To form good-quality image by increasing the reflectivity from the central part to peripheral part of an effective scanning region to correct the decrease in the quantity of incident light. CONSTITUTION:The incident light 4 is reflected when the incident luminous flux is projected on a rotary shaft 3 nearly parallel therewith. The reflected luminous flux is deflected when a pyramidal mirror 1 is rotated around the rotary shaft 3 at this time. The reflected light 5 which is inclined is included on the same plane and linear reflection is enabled when the reflecting surface is inclined in such a manner that the reflecting surface 2 and the rotary shaft 3 attains, prescribed 45 deg. angle. The light having the linear deflection is first P-deflected when said light is reflected by the reflecting surface 2 of the mirror 1, but the component of S deflection intrudes thereon and the reflectivity increases from the central part to the peripheral part as the mirror 1 rotates. Since the direction of the linearly polarized light changes according to the rotation of the mirror 1, the decrease in the quantity of the peripheral light is corrected by utilizing such change.
