PURPOSE:To simultaneously perform deodorization and sterilization with good stability and continuity by providing both an ultraviolet light source and a porous body carried with a photocatalyst while keeping several distance and introducing air into the interval thereof. CONSTITUTION:In a deodorization/sterilization equipment of air especially suitable for a toilet and a sickroom, etc., both a tubular ultraviolet light source 4 and two sheets of cylindrical glass cloth 5 coated with a photocatalyst are coaxially provided to the inside of a cylindrical cover 8 in which an air filter 1 is provided in one end side and a perforated plate 7 is provided in the other end side. Furthermore a blower 2 is fitted to an air introduction side. In case of providing this deodorization/sterilization equipment to the toilet and the sickroom, etc., and forcedly circulating air, the air is sterilized by extremely excellent sterilizing action of ultraviolet rays and malodor components are efficiently decomposed because the photocatalyst causes photochemical reaction by absorbing light energy of ultraviolet rays. Therefore, deodorization and sterilization are simultaneously performed. |
