PURPOSE:To provide a range hood of which shutter is not left opened by a method wherein the shutter forming a circuit in series with an operation switch of a blower is provided with a limit switch for closing a contact point when a suction port is opened and for opening a contact point when the suction port is closed. CONSTITUTION:During a terminated condition of an operation of an electric motor 4, air containing sand and dust as well as cold air in winter season is blown into a room along a duct 7 in response to a state of air pressure within or out of the room, for example, so that if the suction port 3A is closed by the shutter 9, a limit switch 10 may open an energization circuit for the electric motor 4. Under this state, even if a main body switch 11 is turned ON, the electric motor 4 may not be rotated. If the shutter 9 is opened, the limit switch 10 is closed, the electric motor 4 is rotated and the suction port 13A of a fan casing is also opened, so that the air is discharged by a vane 5. |
