The unit has a memory for storing data for a signal processing circuit. A circuit transmits and receives remote control signals. A switching circuit sets the central circuit in one of two modes. The processing circuit is controlled by remote control signal in the first mode. The control data for the processing circuit is adjusted by the remote control signal and the adjusted data written into the memory in the second mode. The processing circuit is a digital circuit and an initial value for this circuit is stored in the memory. The memory is set in a write disable state in the first mode and in a write enable state in the second mode.
