<p>PURPOSE:To make it possible to obtain a required reactive voltage without setting an AC reactor, by inserting a magnetic substance between an input side coil and an output side coil. CONSTITUTION:An iron core 13 divided into five, for example with a void formed of a magnetic substance is inserted between an input side coil 6 and an output side coil 7. A voltage received from a trolley wire 1 through a pantagraph and a breaker 3 is input to the input side coil 6 of a transformer 4A for a vehicle and transformed and then output on the output side coil 7 of the transformer 4A. The output of the output side coil 7 is directly supplied to a PWM converter 9 and here, a simple-phase current is converted to a direct current. The leaked magnetic flux that occurs at the time of load operation of the transformer 4A for vehicle is increased due to the iron core 13 with a void as a magnetic substance at this time. As a result, leak impedance is increased but a required reactive voltage can be provided by appropriately selecting the number and dimension of the void and dimensions of the iron core.</p> |
