PURPOSE: To improve wrinkle resistance, yellowing resistance and dyeability without impairing characteristic physical properties of silk by immersing and treating a silk yarn, a silk woven fabric. etc., with a processing solution composed of an organic solvent containing a dibasic acid anhydride. CONSTITUTION: A silk yarn, a silk woven fabric, etc., are immersed and treated with a processing solution at 50-85 deg.C containing 0.1-1.5 mols of a dibasic acid anhydride of the formula (n is 2-4) such as succinic anhydride, glutaric anhydride, etc., in a basic organic solvent such as dimethylformamide, etc., as an organic solvent. By this method, a processed silk product has more improved wrinkle resistance, yellowing resistance and dyeability than an unprocessed silk without changing mechanical characteristics such as strength, initial tensile resistance degree, elongation, etc. |
