PURPOSE:To obtain a superconducting power source which utilizes Meissner effect as one of the superconductivity of a superconducting material by employing a current flowing due to the Meissner effect of a crystalline film by approaching a permanent magnet to the film set to its critical temperature or lower. CONSTITUTION:A ringlike crystalline film 2 made of a superconducting material is manufactured on a substrate 1. A disc-shaped permanent magnet 3 is disposed fixedly to a magnet securing frame 4 above the film 2. The film 2 is not formed in a closed ring, and a pair of current paths 5 are integrally formed from the parts of the film 2. The frame 4 is formed of insulating substance, such as plastic or the like, and is so secured as to give the magnet 3 a small play. When the magnet 3 is approached to the film 2 while cooling the film to its critical temperature or lower, Meissner effect which tends to disturb a magnetic flux is generated in the film. As a result, a diamagnetic current flows. This current permanently continuously flows due to its zero resistance. |
