PURPOSE:To correct meandering and to stabilize conveying with adding a suitable tension by providing the pinch rolls as one pair of brush roll and solid roll rotating in the advancing direction of a strip. CONSTITUTION:A rolling reduction force is given with cylinders 9 for rolling reduction using air pressure or oil pressure to the solid roll 6a, and the tension is applied to the strip with sliding resistance between the solid roll 6a and the brush roll 6b, particularly contacting resistance of a brush of the brush roll 6b. The pinch rolls 6 are rotated with a motor 12 through bearings 10 and pulley couplings 11. The solid roll 6a is formed to radial crown or tapered crown, which the outer diameter at center part of barrel part of the roll is larger than the outer diameter at both side parts of the roll. As the rolling reduction force with the brush roll 6b becomes intense at the center part of width direction of the strip and the passing of the roll center part is forced, the conveying of the stable strip without any meandering can be realized. |
