A waste-heat boiler comprises a walled main gas conduit (1) having heat-transfer surfaces (2) for generating steam from heat recovered from waste gases and adjacent peripheral gas conduits (3,6) with furnaces (4, 7) provided with burners and heat-transfer surfaces (5, 8). All the gas conduits (1, 3, 6) are horizontal, the two peripheral gas conduits (3, 6) adjoining the main gas conduit (1) in the lower area of its side walls (9). Steam generated in the main gas conduit is superheated in the peripheral gas conduits by operation of the furnace burners. The boiler can be used in the metallurgical oil refining, wood-pulp and paper industries. <IMAGE> |
