<p>PURPOSE: To provide a computer input device by providing a light source and a photosensor inside a spherical housing oppositely on a shaft passing through a center point, filling the inside with liquid and a gaseous body to half and drawing a rotation angle by the difference of sensor receiving light quantity by the refraction of light at a boundary. CONSTITUTION: When a user holds this computer input device 10 in a hand, turns it to a display sreen and moves it by changing an angle, display is performed on the screen and a cursor is moved corresponding to it. The device 10 is provided with an egg-shape housing 24 made of plastic and a direction sensor 25 in a spherical shape is provided inside. The sensor 25 is provided with a housing 38 composed of upper and lower semispheres and the photosensors are attached to a lower semisphere part paired with the four light sources of an upper semisphere part. Transparent liquid is filled to the half inside, the light from the light source is refracted by an incident angle with a liquid surface, the light quantity reaching to the photosensor is changed and the rotation angle is recognized.</p> |
