PURPOSE:To carry out delicate heater control at the time of utilizing exhaust temperature as a heat source as well for a heater device utilizing cooling water temperature by controlling a selector valve for introducing exhaust gas into a heat exchanger in accordance with a necessary engine output, room temperature, necessary heat temperature, and cooling water temperature, etc. CONSTITUTION:Water circulating passages 11-14 to a heat exchanger 10 facing an warm air duct 9 are divided from a cooling water passage 4 for circulating engine cooling water through a radiator 3, and a gas-liquid heat exchanger 18 is provided in the water circulating passage 12. A sub-exhaust gas passage 20 divided from the main exhaust passage 19 of an engine 1 is connected to the gas-liquid heat exchanger 18 and a selector valve 23 is provided on the inlet 21 of the sub-exhaust passage 20 while providing a throttle valve 24 on the lower course side of the gas-liquid heat exchanger 18 of the sub-exhaust passage 20. These valves 23, 24 are controlled by a control device 25 so as to open up the selector valve 23 when a necessary engine output is larger than the set output or when a room temperature is equal to or higher than the necessary heater temperature and to close the selector valve 23 while opening the throttle valve 24 at the time of other conditions. |
