A television camera system for use in sterile areas comprises a television camera which can be connected by a standard flange (8) to a surgical appliance, in particular an endoscope. The system is characterized by a combination of the following features: the camera electronics are separated from the camera itself and are lodged in a fluid-tight housing (2) without passages, etc., connected to the camera (1) by a cable (3); for color valence, a rotating ring with a magnet (11) is arranged on the outside of the housing (2) or on the camera (1) and its position is recorded by a magnetic field sensor in the housing or in the camera; for the voltage supply and for decoupling the video signals, the housing comprises a multiple jack socket (4) which can be closed by a stopper (5) when not in use. |
