The process of the invention for producing glass-ceramic dental prostheses in a sintering process overcomes substantial deficiencies connected with present processes which lead to inaccuracies of fit, depending on the geometric circumstances of the objects. An increase in the accuracy of fit is achieved by measures for minimising the sintering shrinkage of the refractory pattern material and for complete compensation of the cooling shrinkage of the dental ceramic by means of the pattern material, which opens up the possibility of producing the required cement or adhesive gaps by means of a spacer paint (lacquer).
