A pharmaceutical composition, process for its preparation and method of antidepressive treatment with said composition containing a propanamine of general formula (I) - where R stands for hydrogen or methyl - or any optical isomer and/or pharmaceutically acceptable salt thereof together with a cyclodextrin preferably in the form of an inclusion complex. Said composition may optionally further contain auxiliary and additional materials acceptable in pharmaceuticals for oral, parenteral, transdermal, rectal or other medical use. Cyclodextrins of preference are gamma -cyclodextrin, a methylated alpha -, beta - or gamma -cyclodextrin, a hydroxypropylated alpha -, beta - or gamma -cyclodextrin, an ionic watersoluble alpha -, beta -, or gamma -cyclodextrin polymer, a maltosylated alpha -, beta - or gamma -cyclodextrin. The invention also covers the inclusion complexes and their preparation. The most preferred inclusion complex is the one containing (+/-), (-) or (+) gamma -[4-(trifluoromethyl)-phenoxy]benzene-propanamine and gamma -cyclodextrin.
