The dot matrix LED indication plate contains mxn LED points, each contg. at least one monochromatic LED chip. An associated control circuit has an input connected to a computer. A data shift circuit corresponds to the in columns of the matrix and a data scanning drive circuit corresponds to the n rows. A CPU contains software programmed for cyclic scanning through the n rows. The cooresp. information is transferred from the computer to the LED points via the data shift circuit. The control circuit contains an output connection and an address device in which an identification code is stored. The output connection can be structurally connected to the input connection and is connected to the lines between the input and CPU. The identification code coincides with a specific computer memory address, software of which causes data display when the data are transferred with an address signal coinciding with the code. ADVANTAGE - Size of large display can be increased or reduced at will without requiring new circuit design.
