In epicyclic mechanisms, unavoidable manufacturing tolerances lead to nonuniformities in the power division. A description is given of a compensating arrangement for epicyclic mechanisms which has at least one elastic spring element (20, 20'), this being arranged so as to act between the planet-wheel journals mounted on a planet carrier and the respective toothed rim (10) of the planet wheels. The elastic spring element (20, 20') is symmetrical with respect to the axis (X) of the planet wheel. <IMAGE>
