<p>NEW MATERIAL:A compound of formula l [R<1> is H, (substituted) lower alkyl, (substituted) lower alkenyl, (substituted) aryl; R<2>, R<3> are H, halogen, (substituted) lower alkyl, hydroxyl, lower alkoxy, carboxyl, lower alkoxy-carbonyl, (substituted) amino; X is alkylene], its salt and its hydrolyzable esters. EXAMPLE:7beta-[2-(2-Aminothiazol-4-yl)-(Z)-2-methoxyiminoacetamide]-3- [2-(1- pyridinio)ethylthio]-3-cephem-4-carboxylate. USE:Antibacterial. PREPARATION:The reaction of a compound of formula II (R<4> is H, carboxyl- protecting group) or its salt with another compound of formula III (R<5> is H, aminoprotecting group; R<6> is H, lower alkyl) is carried out to give a compound of formula IV, which is then allowed to react with a compound of formula V (R<7>, R<8> are H, halogen, lower alkyl) to give a compound of formula V<1>. When needed, the product is deprotected.</p> |
