Use of compounds of the formula <IMAGE> in which R1 is an optionally protected hydroxyl group, R2 is hydrogen or an optionally protected hydroxyl group, R3 is methyl, ethyl, propyl or allyl, n is 1 or 2 and the symbol of a line and broken line is a single/double bond in free form or in salt form, for the topical treatment of inflammatory and hyperproliferative cutaneous disorders or cutaneous manifestations of immunological disorders, for example of: psoriasis, atopic dermatitis, contact dermatitis and other types of eczematous dermatitis, seborrhoeic dermatitis, lichen planus, pemphigus, bullous pemphigoid, epidermolysis bullosa, urticaria, angioneurotic oedema, vasculitis, erythema, cutaneous eosinophilia, lupus erythematosus and alopecia areata.
