<p>A semi-automatic rifle (10) including a recoiling barrel (24) adapted to carrry rearward the elongated bolt carrier (42) containing the bolt (45) for compressing the recoil spring (43), and a self-unlocking device (73, 76, 78) including a self-unlocking rod (76) longitudinally slidably mounted on the bolt carrier (42) normally engaging the rear face (39) of the barrel (24) in a battery position and a trip actuating device (73, 78) for thrusting the self-unlocking rod (76) forward during the early stage of recoil for separation of the bolt carrier (42) from the barrel (24) before the barrel (24) reaches the end of its recoil movement.</p> |
