<p>An antibody is provided for use in the inhibition of recruitment of myelomonocytic cells to inflammatory stimuli, i.e. for treatment or prophylaxis of diseases and diseases states, e.g. inflammatory, autoimmune and hypersensitivity diseases, which arise from recruitment of myelomonocytic cells to inflammatory stimuli. The antibody is an antibody which has specificity for the type 3 complement receptor (CR3), in particular the α subunit thereof and is typically an antibody which is capable of inhibiting the attachment of myelomonocytic cells to bacteriologic plastic.</p> |
