SITUATION: Automatic transfer facilities are sufficiently well known and are also used to a limited extent in the telecommunication service of the various administrations (car telephone). New markets are also currently being opened up in the citizen's band area. The relatively high price of these products is a particular obstacle to their widespread use. These are extremely complex systems consisting of a large number of individual chips which then interact more or less adequately. OBJECTIVE: Is intended to develop a system which can be implemented with a minimum of individual components. The production costs should also be at a minimum so that price is no longer an obstacle to widespread use. SOLUTION: The "transfer facility" complex is replaced by a small computer. The program of the computer (software) emulates the behaviour of a transfer facility. In the meantime, this concept has been presented to the Central Approval Office for Telecommunications of the Federal German Post Office (DBP) as prototype. After having been tested, it is now approved for connection to DBP-owned circuits.
