Derivative of quinolinecarboxylic acid represented by the following general formula (I) and physiologically-acceptable salt thereof: wherein R<1> is hydrogen, alkyl or substituted or unsubstituted pheny; R<2> is hydrogen or alkyl; and is substituted or unsubstituted cyclic amino which may further contain nitrogen, oxygen or sulfur atom(s) as other member(s). These compounds exhibit antibacterial activity and are useful as therapeutic agents for various infectious diseases.
