<p>PURPOSE:To straighten the curl of a sheet through simple structure and to reduce a cost, by a method wherein a curl straightening route to straighten the curl of a sheet is formed in a curved manner on the upper stream side of a reconveyance route and on the opposite side to the picture surface of the sheet. CONSTITUTION:In the single-sided printing mode, the picture of a sheet S is printed by means of a picture forming part 9, and the sheet is conveyed to a fixing device 11 by means of a conveyance belt 10. The sheet S has both ends at which a curl made toward the printing surface side is created by means of the heat of the fixing device 11 since an amount of a moisture content vaporized on the printing surface side is higher than that on the back side. The sheet S is conveyed to a curved conveyance route 14, positioned right subsequent to the fixing device, by means of a conveyance roller pair 12. Before the temperature of the sheet S is lowered, a curl in a reverse direction is provided to effectively straighten the curl. In the case of a double- sided printing mode, the sheet S is reconveyed to a resist roller pair 6 in a state that it is turned over with the forward back. The sheet S has the back in a blank state on which a picture is printed through the same motion described above, a curl is straightened by means of the curved conveyance route 14 to discharge it to a discharge tray 17.</p> |
