PURPOSE:To improve the quality of an object to be measured by enabling the direct measurement of the two planes having a level difference without sampling inspection of products thereby reducing the time for measurement and the accuracy of measurement. CONSTITUTION:The 1st and the 2nd pressing mechanisms 45, 48 which press the 1st and the 2nd reference members 22, 23 of a body 21 to the parallel 1st and the 2nd planes 14, 15 of a main frame (object to be measured) having a level difference are provided. A reference member 23 is provided movably forward and backward in the direction intersecting orthogonally with the above-described planes 14, 15 of the object 1 to be measured, and a measuring part 39 facing to the extension part 25 of the member 22 is provided. A measuring element 36 which is normally held in the state of maintaining the space between the part 39 and the member 23 at a specified reference distance (l) is provided. A detector 37 which detects the extent of movement from the reference distance of the measuring part when the measuring part of the element 36 is brought into contact with the member 22 and a display part which displays the measured value of the distance between the 1st and the 2nd planes of the object 1 in accordance with the output signal thereof are provided. |
