PURPOSE:To prevent the contamination of a nozzle plate with ink by enhancing the hydrophobicity of said nozzle plate, by coating one surface of the nozzle plate with a positive type photosensitive resin and exposing the resin closing a nozzle orifice through the nozzle orifice from the other surface thereof to remove the exposed part while developing the remaining resin. CONSTITUTION:A nozzle orifice 11 is provided to a nozzle plate 10 made of a nickel material by drilling. The surface thereof is coated with a positive type photosensitive resin 12 and, when the nozzle plate is exposed from the other surface thereof, the positive type photosensitive resin 12 closing the nozzle orifice 11 is sensitized through the nozzle orifice 11 and the sensitized part is removed while the remaining positive type photosensitive resin 12 is developed to prepare the nozzle plate 10. Since the surface of the nozzle plate 10 is covered with the highly hydrophobic resin 12, the flooding of ink is not generated and, even when the fine liquid droplet 13 of the ink is bonded to the nozzle plate 10, said droplet 13 is not spread to become a lump. Therefore, no adverse effect is exerted on the emission of the ink from the nozzle orifice 11 and the wiping-off of the bonded ink can be easily performed. |
