PURPOSE:To prevent quick starting backward effectively by changing the start operation according to stamping of an accel. pedal between forward and backward conditions of an automatic transmission. CONSTITUTION:In case the car speed is smaller than the preset level, a controller 3 judges whether an automatic transmission 2 is in backward condition. In the case of backward condition, a lock solenoid 17 is actuated to protrude a lock pin 16 into a notch 15 of an accel. lever 14, and the amount of stamping of accel. pedal 10 is restricted to a certain extent. Even though the accel. pedal 10 is stamped once, no control of throttle valve 13 will be made to cause maintaining at the degree of opening for idling. When the output of an accel. stamping sensor 11 is put off and it is made sure that the accel. pedal 10 is returned, the lock solenoid 17 retracts the lock pin 16 from the notch 15 to admit stamping of the accel. pedal 10. This prevents surely unintended quick starting backward. |
