PURPOSE:To obtain a mold-clamping device, which enables to realize the mold clamping action by large mold clamping force and the high-speed mold closing and opening action and, in addition, to apply also to a large injection molder by a constitution wherein a motor is employed as a driving source and at the same time both the screw spindle side and the nut side of a ball screw type feeding mechanism are driven through two systems of driving mechanisms with different speed-reduction ratios from each other. CONSTITUTION:Both mold fitting followed by injection and mold release after injection are performed by disengaging a clutch 24 on a screw spindle 8 side and, on the other hand, engaging the clutch 26 on a nut 9 side. Because a screw motor 16 rotates the nut 9 at high speed through a driving mechanism 18 having a smaller speed-reduction ratio, a movable platen 4 advances and retreats at high speed together with the screw spindle 8 in order to close and open molds. On the other hand, the clamping of the fitted molds 5 and 6 (not shown) is done by disengaging the clutch 26 on the nut 9 side and at the same time by engaging the clutch 24 on the screw spindle 8 side. Because the servo motor 16 rotates the screw spindle 8 at low speed with high torque through a driving mechanism 17 having a large speed-reduction ratio, higher thrust can be given to the movable platen 4. |
