PURPOSE:To safely and quickly operate a current breaker and make such troubles unnecessary as fuse replacement by using a superconducting material indicating superconductivity at the critical temperature or below as a conducting material so that a circuit becomes conducting when the conducting member is floated above a magnet and the circuit is cut off when it is pulled to the magnet. CONSTITUTION:When a superconducting material 3 is at the critical temperature or below, the superconducting material 3 is floated due to the Meissner's effect by superconductivity, conducting contact members 1 are brought into contact with a conducting member 2, and a circuit is made a conductive state. On the other hand, the current quantity is increased in the conductive state, when the temperature of the superconducting material 3 becomes the critical temperature or above, the Meissner's effect by superconductivity disappears, the conducting member 5 is separated from the contact members 1 and pulled to a magnet 4, the contact between the contact members 1 and the conducting member 5 is cut off, and the circuit is set to the cutoff state. When the overcurrent with the fixed value or above flows in the circuit, a current breaker can be operated safely and quickly before the circuit attains a high temperature. |
