A luminaire has a lamp-reflector unit (3) whose reflected radiation component has a directed light distribution which lies within a predetermined angular region with respect to the main direction of radiation. According to the invention, an additional reflector (7) is provided which is arranged at a distance below the lamp-reflector unit (3), which additional reflector has a cutout (8) for the passage of a large amount of the reflected radiation component of the lamp-reflector unit (3) and is provided with a reflection surface (9) which falls off outwardly from this cutout (8), reflects at the top and is concavely bent in sectional planes which contain the main radiation device (11). <IMAGE>
