PURPOSE: To immediately write data even in the case that partial data in a memory is almost lost by consumption of a power source by storing check data in the memory of an electronic musical instrument and using this data and memory contents to check the memory at each time of power-on and reporting the check result to a player. CONSTITUTION: When the power source is turned on, a process or RAM data check is performed as one initial setting. It is checked whether information in a RAM 6 correctly remains or not; and if contents of the RAM 6 disappear, a WRITE lamp on a panel is flickered through an I/O port 5 several times for the purpose of reporting this state to the player, and preset information in a program data ROM 8 is transferred to an area of the RAM 6. When a WRITE switch is operated, tone information and performance information recorded in the area of the RAM 6 are rewritten with other information prepared in the ROM 8 even if contents of the RAM 6 are held. Thus, data can be immediately written even if partial data of the memory is almost lost. |
