PURPOSE:To prevent the surging of a turbine by forming a bypass passage which makes a detour around the turbine for generating a brake power through the reverse revolution drive by an engine and cutting off a supercharger from the turbine, allowing the communication of the supercharger to the bypass passage during the turbine brake operation. CONSTITUTION:As for the title engine, the exhaust energy discharged from an exhaust turbosupercharger 1 is recovered by a turbine 4, and the axial turn ing moment is supplied into a crankshaft 5, and the high output of the engine 2 is obtained. A reverse revolving device 6, etc., for reversely revolving the turbine 4 is installed between the turbine 4 and the crankshaft 5, and an engine brake power is generated. In this case, a bypass passage 10 which makes a detour around the turbine 4 is connected in an exhaust passage 3. Further, a cut-off valve Vc for cutting off the turbine 4 from the bypass passage 10 of the exhaust passage 3 in the turbine brake operation is installed on the downstream side from the branched point of the bypass passage 10. Further, an intake passage 17 for supplying and discharging the intake into the turbine 4 from an intake passage 11 is installed. |
