PURPOSE:To obtain an image having no defect by providing erasing pattern forming means for retaining a residual printing pattern obtained from a residual printing data in which erasing object is removed from a plurality of printing data on a print sheet, and its erasing means. CONSTITUTION:A correction buffer 46 is of an input buffer which performs a function as printing data storage means. If printing data to be erased is provided in a storage area, when a correction key 26 is depressed in a state that a printing head 6 faces a duplicate printed part in a printed region, a plurality of printing data corresponding to the positions of the head are read by a CPU 32 from the buffer 46, erasing pattern is formed from the plurality of the data, an erasing operation is executed by the erasing pattern, and the partial erasure of the doubly printed part is performed. As a result, the image remaining on a printing sheet becomes a residual printing pattern, but since the residual printing pattern is obtained by the residual printing data from which the designated printing data is removed to be erased from the plurality of the data, an image having no defect is obtained. |
