PURPOSE:To prevent an end insulator from being damaged and to prevent a trouble such as a layer shortcircuit or the like in a rotor for a rotary electric machine by employing for the insulator a laminate of a soft insulator having large elongation and a hard insulator having small coefficient of friction. CONSTITUTION:An end insulator 11 is composed of a soft insulator 11a which is bonded to a conductor with large elongation and a hard insulator 11b having small coefficient to friction and laminated on the insulator 11a. Accordingly, since the laminated end insulator 11 is slid at the surface of the insulator 11b, the elongation of a conductor 5 pulled by the elongation of a holding ring can be remarkably reduced, the amount of plastic deformation of the conductor can be reduced, the insulator 11a bonded to the entire surface of the conductor 5 can sufficiently follow up the deformation of the conductor, the insulator 11 is not cut, the insulation between the conductors can be preferably maintained, thereby preventing the layer shortcircuit between the conductors. |
