PURPOSE: An overheat preventing apparatus for a roasting pan is provided to prevent the food from being burned and to expand the life span of the roasting pan by preventing the roasting pan from being overheated. CONSTITUTION: A roasting pan is divided into a cooking vessel(5) and a heating vessel(6). The cooking vessel(5) is placed on the heating vessel(6) such that a roasting surface is formed on the cooking vessel(5). A protrusion(7) is formed at a lower portion of the cooking vessel(5), and a hole(8) for receiving the protrusion(7) is formed in the heating vessel(6) in order to easily assemble the cooking vessel(5) with the heating vessel(6). A bimetal(9) is mounted at a lower portion of the cooking vessel(5). When the roasting pan is overheated, a space(11) is formed between the cooking vessel(5) and the heating vessel(6) by the bimetal(9) so that the food is prevented from being burned.
