<p>Control means for controlling roll drive in apparatus for unwinding rolls of web material comprises a regulated drive (M) for replacement roll (3), measurement value transmitters (14, 8) for its circumferential speed and rotational speed, and a computer and storage unit (7) which is supplied with the measured speed values. To ensure that tangential acceleration of the roll is constant a regulating device (15) is connected by way of a rotational speed controller (20) with the drive. A target value generator (16) is connected,with the interposition of integrating means (17, 18), to a target value input of the regulating device (15). A current transformer (21) in the current path of the drive and the target value generater (16) are connected to the computer and storage unit (7). <IMAGE></p> |
