A history menu using method is provided to execute a menu or function with a high frequency of use by a shortened menu and automatically store a frequently used menu or function temporarily, in spite of it's a low frequency of use usually, in a history menu so as to be quickly and easily executed again as necessary. When a currently executed menu or function is terminated, a history module is executed(S10). The history module checks whether the terminated menu or function has been repeatedly stored in a shortened menu(S20). If the terminated menu or function has not been stored in the shortened menu, the history module automatically stores it in a history menu(S40). In order to execute the lately executed menu or function, a user selects the shortened menu and checks whether the lately used menu or function has been stored in the shortened menu(S50,S60). If the lately used menu or function has not been stored in the shortened menu, it is switched to the history menu(S80). The user selects a menu or function desired to be executed from the lately used menus or functions in the history menu displayed on a pop-up window, and executes it(S90).
