The return appts. has aluminium cans placed in a scoop which is pivotably suspended on a shaft, and held in its normal position by a spring (6). When heavier objects are placed in the scoop, it tips downwards, and its new position is detected by a micro-switch (7). In a separate track in the scoop is a detector coil (3). A motor (21) drives via cogged wheels (20,19) and a corresp. belt (24) two screws (18) on which a movable pressure plate (10) is located. With the screw rotary movement, the movable pressure plate (10) moves to and from one (9) which is stationary, and spring-suspended with the aid of rubber cushions (25). The movable pressure plate (9) position is detected by a further micro-switch (8). The can input (15) is shaped to limit the dimensions of deformed cans which can be put into the machine, and when the cans (2) are pressed, the input aperture (15) is closed by a hatch (14) movably located on rollers (16) with guides (17). Guide plates (27) guide the pressed cans (2) to a collection vessel under the machine. (Provisional Basic advised week 85/20) |
