A metal cladding strip (13) has side edge regions (18) extending over the side edge regions of a plastics window frame (10) so as to protect it from harmful effects of the environment and is attached to the frame by the flat heads (15A) of plug (15) engaging slots in the back of the strip. The plugs (15) also comprise a neck region 15B) which snap into openings in the frame (10) and a spacer collar (15C) so as to maintain the separation of the strip (13) and frame (10) and thus provide an insulating layer of air therebetween. <IMAGE> |
